Hello to all! We are hoping you are enjoying the Spring and soon to be Summer of 2008.
First and foremost, a message from our new Commandant, Rich Mullins:
“Thanks for allowing me to be your next commandant. I will do my best to keep the
Marine Corps League a place for you to be proud to say you are a member. We’ve got
a lot of work to do. If everyone helps out, it will be a much better Marine Corps League.
If anyone has any suggestions for improvement, please don’t hesitate to let me know
about them and I will be ready to help. There is so much more we can and should be
doing. We’ll need everyone’s help to make these improvements happen.
Have a great summer and I sincerely hope you bring in someone new to join our
membership.

Welcome Rich, we are wishing you well. Thanks to Dennis Dillman for his past tenure
as Marine Corps League Commandant.
We are sending three months of Club calendars with this newsletter. Please use them to
make your plans to come to the Club, meet friends and share in great times and meals.
Some changes in our summer hours have been decided upon. Please note the following:
Monday & Wednesday 3-9 PM, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 3-11 PM. Closed
Tuesdays til Fall.
Congratulations to the Marine Corps A Pool Team, also known as “Drunk and
Disorderly” for winning first place in their league! Great work Chris, Steve, Bill, Adam,
Denny and Joce! This win has earned them the opportunity to participate in the LTC
tournament 06/07/08 at Bleacher’s in Mishawaka. Two teams from this tournament will
qualify to go to Las Vegas for the national championship. Good Luck You Guys!! Make
us proud.
Did you know we have 14 different varieties of import beers? Stella, Corona, Harp,
Guinness, Smithwick’s Ale, New Castle, Peroni, St. Pauli’s Girl, Blue Moon, Sam
Adams, Heineken, Bass, Molson, Amstel Light. Holy Cow, tell your friends and meet
them here for Thursday 2 Buck Import Night! But you don’t have to wait til Thirsty
Thursday. These imports are available every day we are open.
Remember we have great pull tabs. Anyone feel like a winner????? Come on in and try
your chances!
Our big summer party will be Saturday, August 23rd. We’ll have a Hog and Corn Roast
starting at 3 PM. Live Band will start at 7 PM.
The ten dollar ticket will put you in the drawing for many prizes. There will be 3 big
winners and 7 smaller winners. First prize is a 37 inch LCD, HD, TV, second prize is
$300.00 and third prize at $150.00. Also, for your $10.00 contribution, you will get a
sandwich, condiments, one ear of the best corn on the cob you’ve ever had, and a 14
oz. draft beer! Holy Cow!!!
There will be only 300 hundred tickets sold, so see your bartender early to get a chance
to win one of these great prizes! Tell all your friends. Tickets available to sell. See your
bartender.
By the end of the summer, it will be countdown to football season! Will you be ready
for some football??? Get ready for great times at The Marine Corps League! We’ll have
our multiple TV’s and guaranteed good times.
Remember to support your club on the Sundays we are open. Usually the 2nd Sunday
of the month.
